Why Inland Empire Homes Choose Us
Hot, dry summers and cool, damp winters chew through cheaply installed floors. We acclimate every board on-site, moisture-test the subfloor, and choose the right adhesive or fastener pattern for the climate - the kind of detail that separates a floor that lasts decades from one that cups, gaps, or peaks in two summers.
The Same Crew, Every Time
Whether you're matching a 1950's parquet, fitting wide-plank European oak, or putting waterproof LVP into a busy family kitchen, the same crew shows up with the same standards. That consistency is why we still get calls from customers we worked for fifteen years ago.
Built Around Your Schedule
We give you a real start date, a real finish date, and the crew lead's direct line. No mystery delays, no subcontractor handoffs. If something changes, you hear it from us first.
Our Stairs Process
Every project follows the same clear, predictable steps from estimate to walk-through.
- 01
Tread-by-tread measure
Every staircase is slightly different. We measure each tread individually for a perfect fit.
- 02
Demo old treads / carpet
Carpet, tack strips, and old treads removed. Sub-treads inspected and reinforced if needed.
- 03
Custom tread and riser fab
Solid hardwood treads cut to size with proper nosing. Risers prepped, painted or stained to match.
- 04
Glue + screw install
Glued and screwed for a squeak-free, lifetime install.
- 05
Stain, seal, walk-through
Stain to match flooring, sealed with durable polyurethane. Walkable in 24 hours.
Stairs FAQ
- Yes - that's our most common stair job. We pull treads in matching species, then custom-stain to your floor color. Rare species may need a special order.
- Usually yes for a clean look - treads, risers, and nosings should match. If you're refinishing existing wood treads, we can refinish in place; if they're carpet over plywood, the sub-treads need new hardwood treads on top.
- We can swap iron balusters and refinish railings as part of the project. Full railing replacement is more involved and quoted separately.
- Properly finished hardwood treads have similar slip resistance to floors. We finish with satin polyurethane (less slippery than gloss) and can add discrete grip strips if needed.
